About The Moon Mountain Artwork

This one was inspired by a backcountry ski trip with friends. We skinned up the mountain for a grueling 7 miles, maybe more, while a couple friends ran the food and gear in on snowmobiles. Once we all made it to the hut, we cooked, played games, and took turns in the wood-fired sauna — a true adventure without electricity, deep in the woods of Colorado. At night we set back out to ski a little higher by the light of the moon, which shines so brightly in winter reflecting off the snow. After about 30 minutes of hiking we reached a clearing where you could see for miles, shared a sip from a flask, then pulled the skins off our skis and splitboards and rode back down to the hut by moonlight. A true adventure I'll never forget, and one I hope to share with my kids when they're older.
