The Mountain Men artwork is the first piece that began Vela Apparel. It is an homage to the spirit that unites all mountain lovers. I was inspired to make during our first winter in Minturn. It sat around for sometime, until we decided to try and sell it as a T-shirt, and I was so happy about the response it got from our friends and neighbors. Everyone identifies with the Mountain Spirits in some way. The two old mountain men in this piece are the symbol of that eternal spirit that draws us into the peaks.
